I'm Louise Farrell and I love photography, animals and nature. My dogs are rescue border collies called Meg and Jake. I also have rescue cats who are moggies called George and Dylan.
My old dog was a collie cross called Bo who passed away in 2015 aged 14.5 years. He inspired me to set up my photography business. Bo was my first model and as he was mainly a border collie he helped me to learn how to take action photos of dogs, and capture their characters as he never stayed still very long!
I set up Tell Tails in 2014 and am happiest when I am photographing pets and their people in the outdoors, enjoying life, running around and having fun.
I adore what I do and hopefully that comes across in my photographs and the feedback from customers.
I photograph more or less any animal which has four legs and is hairy - dogs, cats and horses mainly!
My photoshoots are first and foremost fun for everyone involved. That ensures the photos I take brings out their personalities.
Clubs and Competitions
I also work for clubs and attend competitions in flyball and agility where I capture the action!
I'm one of the official photographers for Noel Fitzpatrick's DogFest - you know, the Supervet on the telly! (Channel 4). Through this event I've had photographs printed in Dogs Today magazine and have been asked back every year since 2014 to photograph Dogfest.
I also volunteer at my local dog rescue photographing their animals who are looking for their forever homes - they tell me it's helpful to have a professional photographer working with them and from my point of view it's a privilege to be able to give back and help the rescue.
Every photographer has their own style, so it's vital that when you are choosing a photographer for your photo shoot you explore the type of photographs they take. Choose the photographer who takes photographs you like!
Tell Tails specialises in action photography outdoors. As you can tell from my gallery, a lot of this is action dog photography as cats are less active in general!. I enjoy taking photos of horses too. So your pet will be running, jumping, swimming, stalking, and at some stage in the session they will be still too.
Take a look at my portfolio and if you like what you see, give me a call or drop me an email. It's as easy as that!
